Case 1

This former one eyed cat, i fixed by copying and pasting it on the other side. Then i flipped it and transformed it until it looked right, i even blurred just a little bit around the eye where the white part is.

For the ripped newspaper i cut out pieces of the other parts and pasted it on aligned. For the face i simply copied and pasted the missing piece and flipped it.

1) How did you enjoy the film? What stood out for you?

I enjoyed the film because it shows the way some children are raised and what they grow through in there child hood. it was also interesting because it was very shocking to see prostitution, drugs and alchohol. i like the way the lady was helping them and taught them photography. For me the prostitues and the abuse of the children really stood out and their negative role models. it was surprising yet sad to see such a suffered group that would do anything for money.

2) Did you learn anything new about photography, life, people? What?

I learned that you can get use to taking pictures and when your upset you can take pictures because there isn’t a wrong way of taking and make your feelings have and effect on your pictures. There are many themes and ways to express or explain things just by taking pictures. People can learn a lot if their curious they can see environments, people, jobs and wealthy or lower classed places so pretty much everything.

3) How do you think the world needs to change? How important is this?

I think the world needs to change for the better not the worst because so many people and places are very unhealthy and need lots of help. Everyone should be treated as equals and nobody should be at a higher position than others we should all recieve a chance possibly second chances. People should all be happy and living healthy life styles especially children because the most important part of your life is how your raised because it makes you who you are whether its a good or person and you learn from right or wrong. in the way society is noe people are in desperate needs and are dying due to low sources and are sick or on streets begging which is horrible.

4) What are you willing to do TODAY to be a part of that change?

I am willing to donate or help, in other terms if people need help in something i can help them with like learning to do something. I am willing to go to another country or do what ever i can to make the worls a better place. I am even willing to do small things like recycling.

6) Pick a non-profit organization that is important to you. Why is this important to you? Do they have a website?

A non-profit organazation that is important to me because there are poor, ill, innocent children that need and deserve help. People get to donate to them or adopt them because they deserve better and its not fair they must have a tougher life then other children. I personally want to help in the future and hopefully i will so they get the good life. www.worldvision.com is the website for more information.

7) What ideas do you have for media arts projects that we could do individually or as a class to help contribute to these organizations that are important to us?

-make them interesting art projects

- have pin pals and send them things all the time and keep in contact so they can cheer up all the time and know someday they will have an oppertunity and they shouldnt give up

The combination i used to isolate the fruit bowl was both the Magnetic and Majic Wand.

I found the magnetic wand to be most effective, it was quick, simple and got rid of everything but the fruit bowl obviously.

The expand gets bigger and the contract gets smaller. The feather made it a bit blurry and faded like.
